Materials & Construction
As Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Classified, Factory Mutual Approved or Warnock Hersey labeled,
these doors are available from ¾, 1-1/2 or 3-hour "A" fire
protection rating.
The Fire Door can be set to be heat activated as well as smoke activated
if desired.
The standard features of the Fire Doors include a minimum of
22 gauge (2 1/4 x 5/8) interconnected galvanized steel slats with a gray polyester top coat,
which are weather tight and designed to withstand extreme
temperatures.
Fire Door "Automatic Closing Device" utilizes 160ºF fusible links on both sides of the wall.
The Fire Door can be drop tested easily and reset in a matter
of seconds at any time - by anyone; such as a facility manager or
maintenance supervisor, thanks to a standard auto-reset feature.
No tools or service technicians are
required. By self-testing throughout the year, facility personnel
can be even more confident that their door will function safely in
the event of fire.
Factory tested and approved for a minimum of 50,000 cycles, the Fire
Door can be used and tested on a regular basis without
concerns of premature failure.
Push-up operation can be manual push-up, chain, hand crank, or motor-operated.
Hand crank may
be fixed or removable.
Powder coating is available in multiple colors. Powder coating is a
dry finishing process in which finely ground particles of pigment
and resin are electro statically charged and sprayed onto the
electrically grounded parts of rolling doors. These charged particles
adhere to the rolling door parts until they melt and fuse into a
solid coating in a curing oven. The result is a finish that radiates
beauty and smoothness for an aesthetically pleasing door.
